It’s official. National Solidarity Party’s (NSP), Nicole Seah, has overtaken Minister Mentor Lee Kuan Yew to claim top spot as Singapore’s most popular politician on Facebook.
While the number of ‘likes’ on each politician’s Facebook page isn’t exactly the most important matter to talk about, Seah’s soaring social media profile is certainly something to learn from.
Despite entering the election just 2 weeks ago, Seah currently has about 57,000 likes on her Facebook page at the point of writing. Her confidence in front of pressing media and reliable new media team are have both contributed to her success. All of a sudden, Seah has become an iconic figure for Singaporeans who yearn for a change, at least from a third party point of view. Full story
