According to a report by TODAY newspaper, in the next decade or so, there could be more than 10,000 homes added to Singapore's landscape in popular areas such as Commonwealth, Queenstown and Bishan.
Part of the Urban Redevelopment Authority's Concept Plan 2011, these flats will be built on vacant plots near the respective MRT stations.
For now, let's hope this scheme isn't just a pipe dream, something many Singaporeans feel about the concept of affordable home ownership. Full story
