Singapore central bank says Menon will be new head

SINGAPORE, March 30 – The Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS), the city-state’s central bank, said today that Ravi Menon will become its managing director from April 2, replacing Heng Swee Keat who is likely to enter politics.
Menon joined MAS in 1987 and rose to become an assistant manahttp://www.blogger.com/img/blank.gifging director before holding other government posts. He is currently permanent secretary at Singapore’s Ministry of Trade and Industry. Full story
