The names were chosen by a panel from suggestions received in a contest across Singapore.
Kai Kai means "victorious" in Chinese, reflecting ties between China and Singapore, and Jia Jia means "beautiful and fine," appropriate for describing the state of the relationship, the Wildlife Reserves Singapore Group said. Full story
