Ex-SGH Dept Head under Charges of Medical Malpractices

A team of three judges has reportedly rejected the plea of a former head of the Singapore General Hospital's (SGH) colorectal department, Dr. Eu Kong Weng. As per the reports, the questioned doctor had been charged to operate an invasive surgery on one of his patients without seeking proper consent.
The complained was filed by the victim, Ang Gwee Kwang, after he observed symptoms of infection and blood in his stool. The patient was reported to be under treatment of piles from the accused when the unfortunate accident happened. Full story
