Singapore man 'rescued' near Alaska's McCandless bus site

FAIRBANKS — A Singapore man’s five-day quest to visit an abandoned bus outside of Healy made famous by the book and film “Into the Wild” ended Tuesday afternoon when he was located and guided out of the wilds by Alaska State Troopers and Denali Park Rangers.
Trooper Information Officer Beth Ipsen said 24-year-old Sin Long Xing was found about a mile from the bus. A park service pilot spotted him from the air and rescuers on snowmachines met up with him about a mile from the bus site. Full story
