Singapore’s new property agent registration process criticized

Singapore real estate industry professionals are unhappy about the week-old new registration process for estate agencies and property agents.
Agents are complaining that the new process takes too long and that application forms have disappeared, the Today newspaper has reported. Singapore’s Council for Estate Agencies (CEA) put out a statement in response to complaints, saying that with its limited staff “some human error” was possible. The CEA said that around 1,300 agency licences had been issued so far and that out of 32,800 application received about 28,700 agents had been registered. Full story
