Slowdown signs - Singapore tanker volumes fell in August

Argus reported that the overall tonnage of oil, gas and chemical tankers handled by the Port of Singapore in August 2010 fell to 47.573 million tonnes as compared with 48.522 million tonnes a month earlier.
According to a preliminary data issued by the Maritime and Port Authority of Singapore, the August 2010 tanker tonnage is also lower than August 20009 when the port handled 48.271 million tonnes. Full story
