DOHA: Qatari exports to Singapore were worth a staggering $4.8bn in 2009, but the volumes were slightly down as compared to 2008. The main items of Qatari exports to Singapore were crude oil and its derivatives, phenyl and petrochemicals. Imports from Singapore to Qatar were also down -- 10 .6 percent lower in 2009 as against the previous year. The imports totaled $257m. Main items of Singaporean imports were spare parts of engineering equipment, steel tubes and communications paraphernalia.
