Singapore Grows Bamboos For Chinese Pandas On Loan

SINGAPORE, Aug 26 (Bernama) -- Four different species of bamboo have been cultivated by the Night Safari and Singapore Zoo in anticipation of the arrival of a pair of giant pandas from China next year, China's Xinhua news agency quoted local media as reported on Thursday.
The zoos parent company, Wild Reserves Singapore (WRS) said in the past six months, the horticultural department has been planting and nurturing four different bamboo species. Full story
