Indian authorities identified expert fake credit card manufacturer operating in Singapore

Police suspect a Sri Lankan national, Shorty alias Umesh Balachandar to be the mastermind behind the fake credit-cards racket. Shorty, who travels between Malaysia and Singapore, is an expert in manufacturing fake credit cards.
“Details of credit cards were collected by Shorty in Singapore, and later passed on to Harish and Samuel through a Bangalore resident named Suhail,” an officer said. “Being an ex-bank employee, Harish also played a role in extracting some additional details, which were fed into a laptop and copied on blank credit cards.”
Members of their gang would then use these cards to go on a shopping spree across the country, buying high-end gadgets and luxury items, which were billed to the original owner of the credit cards. Full Story
