Defense Ministry in Singapore Saves $207m

A television remote control flashed off an idea that assisted airmen in the Singapore air force to detect hard-to-spot infra-red lights at any point of time of the day whilst saving money on costly apparatus.
The detector can locate infra-red signals, which are practically unseen by the naked eye, for example those that are emitted by a Chinook helicopter or other types of vessel. The Chinook makes use of infra-red lights, in order to signal its position during the night. Full Story
