Analysts says Wage Hike will be Sustainable in Singapore

Analysts and Company owners in response to the recent proposal by the National Wages Council (NWC), said employers should be able to comfortably accommodate recent pressures to increase wages in Singapore, as productivity levels surge.
According to first quarter economic data released by the Ministry of Trade and Industry (MTI) two weeks ago, this year Singapore's productivity surged 13.1 per cent as compare to a decline a year ago."More importantly, productivity growth going forward is no longer about working harder. It should be driven by innovation, creativity and by harnessing technology," said DBS economist Irvin Seah. Full Story
