Singapore to lure more foreign Pharmacists

Singapore is facing a severe shortage of pharmacists. The country has only a single pharmacist for every 3,000 people. This is much lesser than the developed countries where there is a pharmacist for every 500 people. The medical authorities are trying to improve the situation in the country by adopting various steps.
Singapore Pharmacy Council is also making a lot of efforts to increase the numbers of pharmacists. The council aims to recruit more foreign educated graduates and also increase the number of recognized foreign institutes. It also aims to start the pre-registration training in the country for foreign graduates. Full Story
