Singapore Import Price Inflation Accelerates In April

RTTNews) - Singapore's import price inflation accelerated in April after easing for the past three months, data from the Department of Statistics showed Thursday.
Import price inflation rose to 3.4% in April from 2.6% in the previous month. Prices increased for the sixth month in a row. On a monthly basis, import prices rose 0.6% in April after remaining unchanged in the previous month.
The oil-index rose 50.4% annually during the month and 4.2% on a monthly basis. The monthly increase in the oil index was largely driven by higher crude petroleum and fuel oil prices. Full Story
