The SingSpring Desalination Plant at Tuas is Singapore's first seawater desalination plant and it meets some 10% of the nation's water needs, supplying some 136,380 m3 of potable water per day. The plant adopts reverse osmosis technology that uses semi–permeable membranes.Hyflux developed SingSpring Desalination Plant under a 20–year design, build, own, operate and transfer (DBOOT) arrangement with PUB.
