Chinese vice premier vows to advance ties with Singapore

BEIJING, May 18 (Xinhua) -- Chinese Vice Premier Li Keqiang met with Singapore's Minister Mentor Lee Kuan Yew here Monday and pledged to advance bilateral ties to a new level.
Hailing Lee's important contribution to China-Singapore relations, Li said the two nations have enjoyed sound development in bilateral ties since forging diplomatic relations 20 years ago.
China and Singapore have increased mutual understanding and trust and conducted fruitful cooperation in economy and trade, science and technology, culture, education and other areas, Li said. Full Story
