Civil servants named S'pore's IT luminaries

SINGAPORE--The Singapore Computing Society (SCS) conferred the title of "IT Leader of the Year" to a former civil servant, inducted another veteran public-sector official into its Hall of Fame, and presented awards to two rising stars in the industry today.
Lim Hup Seng, a former deputy secretary (performance) in the Ministry of Finance, was conferred the SCS 2010 IT Leader of the Year award for his contributions toward leading the development of the iGov2010 masterplan.
Peter Ho, who could not attend the briefing, was inducted into SCS's IT Hall of Fame, joining other notable industry alum such as Philip Yeo, chairman of SPRING Singapore, and Lim Swee Say, minister in the Prime Minister’s Office. Full Story
