S'porean seeking job in M'sia led him to death row

JOHOR BARU: A Singaporean who came to the country looking for a job, was sentenced to die at the gallows for drug trafficking.
Heng Chye Lai, 44, was also handed a total of 19 years’ jail and 10 strokes of the rotan for three other charges of drug possession.
High Court Judge Datuk Mohd Za­­wa­wi Salleh sentenced him to hang after finding that Heng failed to proof that he had no intention of trafficking the drugs. Full Story
