Singapore's manufacturing output rises 39.4 per cent in Jan

Singapore - Singapore's manufacturing output increased by 39.4 per cent in January from the same month a year earlier, helped particularly by electronics demand, the Economic Development Board said Friday. The electronics segment reported growth of 80.6 per cent, supported by higher demand for computer memory chips. The jump was seen after low demand for electronics a year ago in the midst of the global economic downturn. Full Story
