Singapore 2010/11 budget at a glance

SINGAPORE, Feb 22 — Singapore announced today a smaller budget deficit for the fiscal year starting April 1, 2010.
The government will, however, increase spending to raise the productivity of the local workforce.
The government expects a basic budget deficit of S$7.2 billion (RM17.39 billion), or 2.6 percent of GDP, for the fiscal year beginning April 2010, down from an estimated S$8.5 billion, or 3.3 per cent of GDP, this fiscal year. Full Story
