Pregnancy unfair dismissals double in Singapore

Statistics in Singapore have showed a major increase in worker complaints during the recession over employee benefits, pay and unfair dismissal, it has been revealed.
Only one month after the Tripartite Alliance for Fair Employment Practices (TAFEP) gave the thumbs-up to the city state, the Ministry of Manpower stated that 149 complaints of unfair dismissal were registered and 56 involved pregnant employees, doubling stats from the year before. Full Story
