Singapore To Reduce Health Care Subsidies For Permanent Residents

Ministry of Health announced that the current healthcare subsidy for Permanent Residents (PRs) will be reduced by 10 percentage-points.
This will sharpen the distinction between privileges enjoyed by citizens and PRs. By 2012, there will be a 20 percentage-point differential in healthcare subsidies between citizens and PRs. Citizens enjoy heavy subsidy in Class B2 and C wards. PRs receive significant subsidy while foreigners are not subsidised at all. Full Story
