Singapore took over command of Combined Task Force (CTF) 151, a multinational counter-piracy task force, from the United States (US) in a ceremony held on board the US Navy destroyer, USS Hopper, in Bahrain this morning. Led by Rear-Admiral (RADM) Bernard Miranda from the Republic of Singapore Navy (RSN), the CTF 151 command team will coordinate counter-piracy operations by CTF 151 to deter and disrupt piracy in the Gulf of Aden (GoA) over the next three months.
