Singaporean police have secured the release of the fifth member of a Taiwanese family kidnapped in Thailand.Mrs Hsu Yu-fen, 36, was kidnapped at Suvarnabhumi airport on Nov 24 along with her husband Teng Li-wei.
Crime Suppression Division subdivision 1 chief Pornsak Surasit said she was then taken to Singapore by Su Yu-ting, a member of the alleged kidnapping gang, to withdraw money from the family's bank accounts to pay the ransom being demanded for the release of her husband and other family members back in Thailand.
