The Health Sciences Authority (HSA) has detected an illegal health product labelled “Huo Luo Jing Dan” [活絡金丹], which was tested by HSA’s Pharmaceutical Laboratory to contain three potent undeclared western medicinal ingredients, namely indomethacin, dexamethasone and prednisolone.The product was brought to the attention of HSA’s Vigilance Branch following an adverse reaction report submitted by a doctor who suspected that his patient suffered an adverse effect from the product.
