An Indonesian district court, in a controversial ruling, has decided to allow the hearing of a class action suit by a group of nine people against Temasek Holdings and several telco companies.
The group claims to represent millions of phone subscribers and has demanded 30.8 trillion rupiah (RM11.18 billion) in damages for losses suffered from excessive phone tariffs imposed by these companies between 2003 and 2006.
