Singapore’s Economy May Contract 3.6% in 2009, MAS Survey Shows

Sept. 2 (Bloomberg) -- Singapore’s economy this year will probably contract less than economists predicted earlier as manufacturing improves, a central bank survey showed.
Gross domestic product may decline 3.6 percent in 2009, according to the median forecast in a quarterly survey of economists by the Monetary Authority of Singapore released today.
