Singapore continues to be major attraction for indian tourists

Chennai, Aug 31: Singapore continued to be a major attraction for Indian tourists, including ministers, according to a Singapore diplomat.
"Almost all Indian Ministers have visited Singapore", Consul-General, India (Chennai), Singapore Republic, Ajit Singh, citing a Indian High Commission report, said.
He said tourist arrivals to Singapore (from India) in 2008 grew by 23 per cent, compared to the previous year. "Last year, Singapore welcomed 6.80 lakh Indian tourists, making India the fourth largest 'inward' group," Singh said.
