Sea piracy in waters near Singapore sets five-year high

SINGAPORE, Sept. 21 (Xinhua) -- The waters in and around Singapore reported more piracy cases for ships this year, local media reported on Monday.
Piracy hit a five-year high in the South China Sea, with 10 sea attacks reported so far this year, exceeding 2005's record of nine, local newspaper the Straits Times reported on Monday.
