The municipality of Beijing has announced plans to offer cash to lure multinational companies to set up their regional headquarters in the Chinese capital.
This is Beijing's latest effort to enhance its appeal as it competes with Shanghai, Hong Kong and Singapore to be the city of choice for Asian corporate headquarters.
Beijing will subsidize international firms that establish or relocate their regional headquarters to the city this year, dating back to January the first.
