Does Singapore Airlines lose money off of flying its A380s?

In October 2007, Singapore Airlines became the first customer to take delivery of the A380, the world's largest commercial jet.
The A380 is capable of carrying up to 853 passengers. But Singapore Airlines has chosen to put just 471 seats in its jets -- giving customers more room than is typical on long-haul flights. The airline flies its A380s between Singapore and Sydney, London, Tokyo and Paris.
