SINGAPORE, May 6 (Reuters) - Singapore's central bank chief said there was no new economic data to suggest a change was needed to the city-state's GDP forecast or monetary policy for now, amid market optimism the global economy is turning a corner.
Singapore's central bank eased monetary policy in April by effectively devaluing its currency to counter a record economic slump, with the economy expected to shrink 6-9 percent this year.
