Professors Sir David and Birgit Lane quit Scotland for Singapore

Scotland is losing two of the world’s leading cancer and skin disease researchers to Singapore.
Professors Sir David and Birgit Lane, who have been at the University of Dundee since 1990, are the latest scientists to be lured by the big salaries and lavish research facilities the Asian country is offering.
The husband and wife team are moving to Agency for Science, Technology and Research, where Sir David will be the chief scientist and Birgit the executive director of the agency’s Institute of Medical Biology.
