Jet Airways shut S'pore's office, retrenches hundreds of staff

In an attempt to cut the costs, the cash strapped airline Jet Airways has shut offices in Singapore, Kuala Lumpur and Bangkok. Furthermore, the company might also delay salaries to its employees.
Apart from shutting down its offices at Singapore, Kuala Lumpur and Bangkok, the airline has also issued a termination notice to the employees serving at these centres with effect from May 31.
Approximately 100 employees have been terminated. These also include expats and people who were recently inducted and were under probation.
