Singaporean Minister Mentor Lee Kuan Yew arrived in HCM City on April 13, beginning an official visit to Vietnam at the invitation of Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung.
During a meeting with the Secretary of the Municipal Party Committee, Le Thanh Hai, Mr Lee shared Singapore’s experience in minimising the negative effects of the global economic crisis, focusing on human resource development.
Singapore has adopted practical support policies to encourage its people to return to school and take part in training courses to improve their skills, said Mr Lee.
