Singapore leaders call on parents to continue to invest in education

Investing and staying competitive in education are key and Singaporeans should not compromise on children's education even as things are getting tough in 2009, Singapore leaders said in different occasions on Saturday.

According to Channel newsasia's report, Singapore's Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong Saturday attended a ceremony giving out some 170 Edusave scholarships in Ang Mo Kio. He said the government encourages families to look after their kids and not to compromise on their education.
