SINGAPORE, Jan. 12 (Xinhua) -- Singapore's Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong announced plans to develop table-tennis especially among the young athletes, local media reported on Monday.
According to Channelnewsasia's report, the plans include a kindergarten program by the Singapore Table Tennis Association (STTA) and the People's Action Party Community Foundation to teach kids aged five to six the basics of the sport. The STTA and the Singapore Sports School will also raise standards of training and help integrate foreign-born talents into Singapore's national team.
