Satyam saga: Institutional investors caught unawares

MUMBAI: Institutional investors have always admitted that Satyam's corporate governance practices were not the best in the industry, but never in in their wildest imaginations did they think that it would leave all of them red in the face some day.

Satyam's stock was held by institutional investors like Aberdeen Asset Management, Fidelity, ICICI Prudential, Lazard Asset Management, LIC, JP Morgan AMC Europe, Government of Singapore, Morgan Stanley Mauritius, Citigroup Global Markets Mauritius, Swiss Finance among others, as on September 30, according to the shareholding pattern on BSE.
