SINGAPORE -- Singapore's key exports contracted for an eighth consecutive month in December as the global economic slowdown continued to undermine external demand, government data showed Friday.
Nonoil domestic exports fell 20.8% from a year earlier after contracting 17.5% in November, the trade promotion agency International Enterprise Singapore said. This was the sharpest decline since February 2002.
