World Bank president meets Singapore leaders

SINGAPORE, Dec. 18 (Xinhua) -- World Bank President Robert Zoellick Thursday met with Singapore leaders on the impact of the financial crisis, the responses of different governments and the World Bank's role in Asia.

According to a government press release, Zoellick, who paid a one-day visit to Singapore, met with Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong, Senior Minister Goh Chok Tong and Minister Mentor Lee Kuan Yew, respectively, at the Istana, the official residence and office of the President of Singapore.
