ABC foreign correspondent Peter Lloyd will discover his fate today after being caught earlier this year in possession of a small amount of methamphetamine or "ice" in Singapore, the island state famous for its hardline stance against drugs.
Lloyd, 41, is due to appear before Singapore's subordinate court, which will hear prosecutors make their case before Lloyd's lawyer makes a plea for mitigation. A panel of judges will then retire briefly before they deliver a verdict and hand down their sentence.
