SINGAPORE'S "Minister Mentor" Lee Kuan Yew is still going strong at 85 and shares a global forum with Bill Clinton to discuss the economic crisis, water, energy, women and philanthropy, writes Lara Farrar.
When former US President Bill Clinton sat down recently with Singapore's "Minister Mentor" Lee Kuan Yew before Asian business leaders, politicians and philanthropists, it was more than a dialogue on the issues - it was a recognition of Lee's statesmanship.
"I think all of us consider Minister Lee one of the wisest and most knowledgeable and one of the most effective leaders in any part of the world for the last 50 years," said Clinton. "We are grateful that you are here."
