Weather woes pose problems in Singapore

SINGAPORE, Nov 13 (Reuters) - Organisers of the $5 million Singapore Open have been forced to come up with contingency plans for potential weather delays as fears grew that another tournament in Asia may stretch into five days.

The final round of the HSBC Champions tournament in Shanghai had to be played on Monday after heavy rain blighted the early rounds and washed out an entire day.

Inclement weather struck again in Singapore and players endured a two-hour delay due to lightning and torrential rain at the Serapong Course on Sentosa Island.
