Singapore's budget to be presented in Jan -report

SINGAPORE, Nov 16 (Reuters) - Singapore will move forward its budget statement by a month, to January next year, as the country grapples with the prospect of a prolonged economic rut, the city-state's broadcaster quoted the prime minister as saying on Sunday.

The budget, which is usually presented in February by the finance minister, is expected to be expansionary, with fiscal measures to help small businesses and the unemployed, Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong said, according to Channel NewsAsia.
