Singapore Air sees slowdown in premium travel

SINGAPORE: First-class and business-class travel within Asia has fallen victim to belt-tightening as a result of the global economic downturn, but it is holding up for other markets, the chief of Singapore Airlines said.

"For the longer-haul, premium demand is still holding firm, but for shorter-haul travel within the region, we're seeing more trading down," the airline's chief executive, Chew Choon Seng, said Friday.
