Halliburton opens new Singapore manufacturing base

SINGAPORE: Halliburton (NYSE: HAL) launched its new manufacturing and technology centre in Singapore, marking the company's second expansion in the Asia Pacific region this year. The centre will make electronic sensors to use in the company's signature logging-while-drilling tools, and openhole wireline logging services. The facility also serves as a repair and maintenance works for drilling tools used in the region.
