SINGAPORE, Aug. 12 (Xinhua) -- Trade ministers of Singapore and Malaysia Tuesday expressed their confidence that trade and investment between the two countries would continue to increase despite the global economic slowdown.
At a forum on business opportunities in Malaysia, which was held here on Tuesday, Malaysian International Trade and Industry Minister Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin said that with Malaysia's strong economic fundamentals and experience in managing past economic challenges, "I am confident that we will be able to withstand the impact of the current global economic uncertainties and that trade and investment between Malaysia and Singapore will continue to increase."
