The International Olympic Committee (IOC) accepted the proposal Saturday by the Singapore Youth Olympic Games Organising Committee to change the site of the Youth Olympic Village.Originally the village has been slated for the National University of Singapore’s University Town. The change is due to the global surge in construction activity and costs of building materials, which would have affected the construction of the NUS U-Town.
