Maybank, Temasek need to ‘compromise’

ALMATY, Kazakhstan: Kookmin Bank, part of a group selling a stake in an Indonesian bank, said its partner Temasek Holdings Pte, the buyer Malayan Banking Bhd, and regulators should “compromise’’ on the transaction.

Bank Negara dropped its backing for the purchase in July, arguing that a new takeover law in Indonesia might lead to losses at Maybank.
